Happy Thanksgiving!
My mom will be happy that I've updated the blog. Here's some pie that we ate for Thanksgiving. It was delicious, thanks to my brother!

Our last pre-baby visit to Minneapolis
A little more than a month ago, we went to visit Sam's family in Minneapolis. It was really fun! They never take enough pictures, so I always try to take a bunch when we're there. Here are some of them.
I love Sam's face in this one:
A bit of canoeing on the lake:
Some flowers from Grandmom's garden:
Her composting project:
We went on a walk around the lake, and there had been a lot of rain and flooding, so this bench was an island and Jerry climbed out to it:
Some friendly Minnesota teenagers took a picture of us when we stopped for a break on our walk:
Can you tell where I put the camera for this picture?
The main reason we went was to see Louise's art in her art show. It's inspired by our baby, and we get to have it to put in his room! Here we are seeing it displayed in the gallery:
She also wrote a poem to go with it, posted on the wall below to the right:
And of course a visit to Minneapolis in nice weather wouldn't be complete without a trip to Yogurt Lab:

We moved back to Cambridge
After trying out living in Arlington and deciding it wasn't for us, we moved back to Cambridge a month and a half ago. We love our new place and our new location, and we even have a tiny bedroom for the baby! Here's our very full moving truck:
Obviously I wasn't much help with the moving process, but my family came to help and we had a bunch of friends helping as well. It went very smoothly with so many helpers, and we were even able to get a bit set up that very day! It turns out that having the baby coming was a good motivation for getting things set up and unpacked much faster than we usually do in new apartments. We're very ready now!

Still no baby - here's a post about Maine instead
I'm hanging around just waiting to go into labor, so I suppose this is as good of a time as any to update the blog! Here are some pictures of things we've done in the last couple of months.
Sam planned a surprise trip to Maine for our anniversary in July. We stayed in a cute bed and breakfast with delicious breakfast:
We went to visit our friend at his kayak rental business, where there was also this beautiful flowerpot with buoys:
We ate chocolate cookie dough ice cream in a sandwich between waffles (and yes, that's fudge in the box in the background):
We brought our lobster companion for the baby, who got a pinch:
And just generally enjoyed Maine:
On the way back, we stopped at our favorite, Wild Oats:

A nice visit home
Over Memorial Day weekend, Sam and I went to visit my family in PA. We went out to dinner with my parents, and my dad wanted to take a picture of my food with his phone, since I was taking a picture of his with mine:
Also Sam and I went out to lunch with my friend and our first and second grade teachers. It was really fun! We try to see them every so often, since they were our best teachers:

A work meeting in Atlanta, complete with snake!
For work, I went to a meeting in Atlanta. It was actually about an hour outside of Atlanta, on an actual plantation. You might suspect that this was not really my scene, but it was good to meet the people who were there, even if it was at a plantation where the social activity was shooting. At least the shooting was of those clay things, not actual animals. Here are some pictures from the place:
If there are flowers, you can always count on me taking pictures of them:
The most exciting part of the trip was seeing a snake. Check it out:
We were on a walk, and my manager tried to pick it up and throw it out of the path, which didn't really work. Luckily, the snake was happy enough to just curl up and not attack us once we left it alone:
That was pretty much the whole snake story, actually. Here's another picture of the place:
